This is a bed I've made in front of a front bedroom window. It was a patch of grass, faces north and is in full sun.

I mounded up earth, put succulents on the north facing slope and grasses on the top which could tolerate the sun. There are two Australian myrtles, dark leaved , and a silver leaved pear which has a weeping habit, between them.

The flax makes a nice contrast and picks up the orange sedum I'm trying to get going among the other things.

On the other side of the path are smoke bushes and two crabapples - one pink, one white.

Nothing takes much water now that the crabapples are established.
